I am a cartoonist on a wildly creative journey that has me looking forward to what each day may bring. My drawing style and content delivery is heavily influenced by "Calvin and Hobbes", and "Peanuts". Both of which are still part of my daily reading. As a teenager was extremely fortunate to have a one on one conversation with Peanuts creator Charles Schultz, and elements from that talk continue to inspire today.
In 2020 I opened "Hey Guy! Studio and Publishing" and released my first illustrated book "Lunchbox Doodles®". Since then I have self published several nationally distributed books including multiple children's activity books and additional books in the "Lunchbox Doodles®" book series.
In 2022 I began visiting classrooms to share the story behind the "Lunchbox Doodles" books focusing on the joys of drawing and how it helped me through difficult times in my childhood. Realizing the mental health benefits of "doodling", I developed a unique version of "repetitious doodling", which I have found to be very helpful with my own daily struggle with anxiety and stress. I now have the honor of visiting classrooms and boardrooms alike sharing the "Doodling Through Difficult Times®" process with people of all ages.
