John Bellsmith has drawn cartoons since he could hold a pencil. He spent most of his childhood drawing his own characters as well as emulating the styles of Charles Schultz, Berkeley Breathed and Bill Watterson, who he sites as his artistic heroes.  John has illustrated and published multiple activity books and coloring books but nothing has brought him more joy than the six years of drawing “Lunchbox Doodles” for his daughter .  He currently lives in Michigan with his wife Jolene and daughter Cali, and  is at his drawing table at work on the next book in the Lunchbox series.
